Santa Barbara-based Heidi Mauracher was one of America’s most celebrated professional wedding and portrait photographers, and a special friend and instructor to PPGBA and Golden Gate School of Professional Photography.

“Teaching people what I have learned within my craft of wedding photography to help them more effectively communicate, is what gives my life significance,” Heidi Mauracher commented upon the completion of her first Training CD for Software Cinema.
On March 14, 2003, Heidi succumbed to cancer. All who knew her, all who were inspired by her, will miss her dearly. A funeral mass was held Thursday, March 20, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Church in Carpinteria, California and was attended by about 200 family members, friends, colleagues, and clients. A reception and celebration of Heidi’s life followed at the Mauracher family ranch.
The purpose of this mini-site is our love letter to Heidi: to share her achievements and beautiful creative and artistic work. Heidi taught for our organization several times and was also committed to expand her own knowledge – participating as a student in many of our educational events.
